Professors in Washington, DC

The news always amuses me in one way or another.  This morning I heard that the  administration plans to send millions to China to build better stoves that will protect the world.  We don't have the known how and available workers to do this?  Also the administration that was so insistence the US auto industry had to remain in the US, is now thinking of selling some, maybe all, of the 61% of the stock to other countries.

More and more it comes to fore that this administration cannot even balance their own check books.  With unemployment so high we are planning to "spread" the wealth by having, at our expense, China develop  a more environmental friendly cook stove?

Why can't we the voters make this stupid academicians see what they are doing?  Probably because they have never had a real job.

These theorists are determined to make us in the image of the third world countries by giving our money, our jobs away so that we will be on the bottom step of the ladder.

We, the voters have vote theses misfits out of our lives.  Mark it on your will do calendar, vote.

END OF THE WORLD?

Hogwash!  I so believe that if we the, the voters, continue to ignore our responsibilities as citizens, than we have only ourselves to blame.

We, the people, are the employers of Congress and the President.  This is something they have forgotten.  We, the people, the voters, have allow the open corruption to continue have followed a path of least resistance in voting on party line because we always have and we really don't follow the person we are voting for and so, this disaster is ours.

We have dishonor the brave men and women who have given the final sacrifice for us.  Yes, these brave people stood in front of us, protected us with their lives.

We are allowing a very small minority to decide when and how much of intimate details  should be taught our children.  We have allowed  these employees to decide what history should be taught.  We have allowed these few to decide that a student who can read to be graduated.  We have allowed very poor teachers to float through the years till they can collect their very nice pensions.  Persona;;y, I had the good fortune to have many intelligent teachers who could make going to school fun.  "I teach, you learn" should be the motto for all teachers as it is with good parents.

We should remember our brave Founding Fathers, who bravely faced the mighty British Empire to insure that we would have freedom.  Yes, all citizens have the right to freedom of speech but I deeply resent that the minority forced out the pledge of allegiance from schools, they even forced out a silent moment before school because someone might, SILENTLY, say a prayer.  Where our their rights?  We should remember we are a Nation of Laws.  When we allow people to enter this country illegal, they are breaking the law and breaking the law makes breaking another easier.  That is why about 25% of the prison inmates are illegals.  Of course, the majority of illegals are not criminals, except for ignoring our immigration laws, but they now number millions and drain the resources needed for law abiding people. They also apparently, are able to vote and so some politicians court them.  Why should any of us obey laws we don't like or that impede our desires?

Think about "Ask not what your country can do but what you can do for your country."  True words of JFK.  Are we still listening?

A WAY OF LIFE

I am on a visit to NH.  It has been many, many years since I was last here but it still has magic.  Besides the best lobster, clams and air, there is a sort of "remember me" about these states.  I suppose I could say that the ancestors are calling me but who would believe me?  Probably my children because they swear I am a witch.

It is nice to be away from all the messes of Congress.  At home I am constantly glued to the TV listening to the vicious talk of these corrupted officials that try to plan my life according to their views.  I am resisting and will try my best to make people understand that our duty as citizens demand we do our duty.  It is passed time to vote not because of party, race, color, or religion.  Our duty is to honor the Declaration of Independence and respect the Constitution.  Our people died that we could live with freedom and the right to live our life in a reasonable way.  We are a nation of laws and we must insist they be enforce.  If we do not like a particular bill that Congress has passed or a President we do not trust, we have the right, the duty to vote them from office.  I, for one, am very tired of the excuses for the illegals in this country.  The bleeding hearts are flouting our laws.  One law broken, for any reasons, without punishment, makes a second law easier to break.  My understanding is that about 25% of the prisons are filled with illegals.  We are Americans, understand?  Americans with a duty to protect the future for our children and their children.  Let us to the right thing and dismiss from office, via the vote, the corrupted officials in Washington, DC.

Another thing to think about is that a convicted felon is among President Obama's advisers.  Can he vote?  And let us not forget the tax cheaters who, oops, sorry, I got caught but I will pay now but no interest or penalty.

By The Sea

I am in New Hampshire after too long an absence.  The lobster, the clams, the very air brings back pleasant memories.

The only thing I really miss here, is the news.  Yes, there is some.  I generally are listen most of the day to Fox News and I miss Megan Kelly, Shepard Smith, Bill O'Reilly and the rest of the gang.  True, they are stubborn but I do hear and see the current events.  I am wondering if there will be pictures of Imam Rauf's visit to the Muslins states/countries.  I wonder how the remaining 50,000 troops, left in Iraq, are faring, I wonder if President Obama is taking another vacation, I wonder if Mrs. Obama is being seen with him more or vacation again without him.  i wonder how the primary in Florida will go.  I really don't want Governor Gist to be a senator.

However, this place, this peacful place, is music to my soul.

Building

How many know that part of the land the Mosque being built in New York City is owned by ConED? And since when does any licensing board really give a reason for denying a building permit?  A silly one but valid is the traffic in Manhattan.  Not only that but the State Department is sending the Imam to Arab countries at the taxpayers expense to do want?  Open more doors?

What a mess!

The news justs more and more confusing.  I do not think that in all my readings I have seen so much arrogance in both the Congress and the Administration.  No one seems up to the job they were elected to and, frankly, I feel more pity for President than I thought possible.  He is so out of his depth.  He, personally, seems to be well liked but unfortunately, that does not relate to leadership.  We are desperate for true leadership.

We are still planning to remove all combat troops from Iraq by the end of this month.  As I understand it, 50,000 troops will be left but for what, I do not know.  The Iraq administration seems to want troops till 2020.  Are we leaving the 50,000 for slaughter?  It seems very plain the  Kurds will fight the rest of Iraq for its northern territory and the Sunni and the Shiites will fight each other and the Kurds.  Al-quad-a will pick up the pieces.  What Iran will do is foster more trouble.  As for Afghanistan, it is anyone's guess.  The British tried for decades to subdue it and fail. Russia tried for years and gave up and us? well,

We are merely supplying the money for the warlords to stash in Switzerland.  Do you know, I am still trying to figure out why we even started the whold thing.  If it were to get rid of terrorists, the failure is apparent.  If it were to make fools of this Nation, we have succeeded.  If it were to apologize to the world for our existence, President Obama has been successful.

It is past time to bring our fleets home to patrol our seas, past time to remove all bases from Germany, Japan, other countries, and bring the troops home to protect this Nation.  In Europe there are armed guards at their borders, the airports and government buildings.  Everyone carries a form of identifying their status.  I have wondered how many of the so=called accidents, fires, plane disasters and so-forth are accidents.  I am truly worried that we are in real danger.

It is past time for we, the people, to vote for the Nation, for the rights guaranteed to us, the voters, to stop pitting state against state, to secure our borders, to preserve the Constitution as it was drafted to protect us and most of all, we must, we must, remember that regardless of color, religion, we are Americans first and vote to elect the candidate we believe best.  Not because of his/her color or religion but because we believe he/she is best for our country.  We don't want six or eight members on a school board deciding that the students don't need to learn all of our history but to start in 1870 or that reading and writings isn't as important as knowledge of sex.  We don't want to have legal speed signs for example, in any other language but English because others refuse to learn English.  I was at a driver's license not to long ago when the man in front, with a friend, asked for the driving test for this friend.  The attendant asked why the taker didn't ask and he replied that he didn't know English.  He was going to read the question in his language and write the answer for him.  The clerk asked how this person would read the road signs if he didn't know English but no answer was forthcoming.

I hope we are able to recover our Country, our blessed Country which for all its faults offers us so much more and is the reason so many want to come to this country. Let us remain a Nation of Laws.

Allow me to introdue myself.

I am a widow, a military dependent and I have very strong political views,  Actually, I suppose one could say, I have strong opinions on most things.  I have traveled in Europe, the UK and Hawaii.

I do a great deal of reading, visiting my children, California, Arizona, Georgia and hope to revisit the UK next spring.

I generally write on my website but I have been persuaded to use the blog.  So ..

I have very, very strong patriotic feelings.  I have always been so proud to be an American.  After all my travels, I have never found more joy then coming home to American.  I certainly enjoyed Germany, France, Italy, Poland and England.   Wonderful places to visit but home is the United States of America.
